Bio

Matt is experienced in coaching teams and individuals of all ages and abilities.

Matt is currently employed as Junior Coaching Director at Avalon Soccer Club, where he is responsible for player and coach development for over 30 junior teams.  He is also responsible for developing and running the club's highly regarded grading process. Since joining the club he has also developed and run the highly successful Avalon Player Academy, revamped coach education and brought back School Holiday Football Clinics to Careel Bay. 

Matt has recenty become accredited by the FFA to run their coaching license courses at Grassroots, Junior and Youth levels.

Matt also volunteers his time as the Head Coach of Avalon's Women's Premier League Squad.

St Augustines U18 Division 1

Bio

Liam is a teacher at St Augustine's College and has been coaching the St Augustine's U18 teams for three years. He guided the Div 3 team to major premiers in 2007 and the Div 1 team to the quarter-final of the NSW State Cup in 2009. Prior to this, while a teacher at Brigidine College St Ives, he coached premiership winning teams in IGSSA and Peninsula Cup competitions. Liam has also coached his children's teams for BTH Raiders which was the inspirational trigger for his coaching experiences.

Liam is a keen sports person who played representative Gaelic Games for Dublin and has also played competitive soccer and badminton at various locations around the world including; USA, UK, NZ and Sydney's Northern Beaches where he currently plays Over 35s whenever he can outside of his coaching commitments.

Liam's passion is to inspire the next generation to yearn to learn and strive to do their best while enjoying the experience. His personal achievements in sport are eclipsed by the rewarding experience of seeing children beaming with satisfaction when they have mastered a new skill.
